Welcome to Like a Goss Counseling

Hi, I am Dr. Lauren Goss, a registered marriage and family therapist intern (RMFTI), looking to take on more clients via telehealth. I am a sole proprietor seeking clients as individuals, couples, and families. I specialize in substance use disorder, relational issues, and couples. During our initial sessions, we will identify core issues and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them to improve your emotional and behavioral functioning.

In addition, I have a minor in Diversity and Social Inequality and a certificate in Gender Studies.

As a therapist, I have an empathetic approach while helping you solve the issues as a team using a combination of solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), person-centered therapy (PCT), interpersonal therapy (IPT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with mindfulness techniques, as well as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) interventions, plus other approaches to address your specific needs. We will work together to identify what works and incorporate it into other aspects of your life. With CBT, we'll examine how your thoughts influence your emotions and behavior. During treatment, I will help you see a different perspective on these aspects for positive change.

I offer therapy sessions via telehealth. I'm available Tuesday through Thursday from 9 am to 3 pm and Saturdays from 1 pm to 5 pm.
